Privacy

What the licence server records.

Only what's needed to issue PINs and stop them being shared. Nothing from your sites or panels ever leaves your PC.

When you request a PIN

We store what you type into the request form (name, company, email, phone, message and the edition you chose), the time, your IP address and your browser's name, so we can review and answer the request.

When a PIN is activated and checked

Each time the app checks its licence it sends the PIN, a PC id and a few details about the PC. The licence server keeps:

RecordedWhy
PC id (a code derived from Windows' machine id)Binds the PIN to one PC
Computer name and Windows user nameSo the PIN holder and the administrator can recognise the PC
App edition and versionChecks the PIN matches the edition, and helps with support
IP address, first and last seenSpots a PIN being used from somewhere unexpected
Refused attempts (another PC, or the wrong edition)Stops PINs being shared

A random per-install secret, and a check-in code that changes with every check, are also used to prove it's the same installation. Only one-way hashes of them are stored.

Who runs the licence server

Bosch 6000 Programmer was built by Vantic for Gentex AU. Gentex AU operates the licence server, issues the PINs and is responsible for these records.

What is never sent

  • Anything from your sites: zones, users, alarm user codes, panel addresses, backups or reports
  • Anything from the panel itself

Who can see it, and for how long

Only Gentex AU, as the licence administrator, through the licence console. Records are kept while the PIN exists. Deleting a PIN deletes its record, and deleting a request deletes it. To ask about your data, or to have it removed, contact us through the request form or Gentex AU.
